Adriana E. Vargas, founding attorney, is a bilingual (English and Spanish) solo practitioner specializing in all aspects of civil law. Adriana is also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to law school, Adriana worked for over 15 years as a civil litigation and trial paralegal, attending several jury trials with extensive use of expert witnesses.

Adriana is a first generation American and college graduate.  Adriana obtained an M.S. in International Relations from Northeastern University, and her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.  During law school, she interned for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and was an editor for the Mitchell Hamline Law Journal of Public Policy and Practice and Cybaris®, an Intellectual Property Law Review. In addition to her normal law school curriculum, Adriana partook in an intensive and specialized program where she earned a Certificate Law and Business with her focus being Sports Law and IP rights of athletes whether U.S. based or foreign.  

Upon graduating, Adriana joined the Office of Chief Counsel through the IRS Honors Attorney Program in 2021.  With the IRS, Adriana handled several trials which included drafting several post-trial briefs. She has received favorable published Tax Court Memorandum opinions in Section 183 business issues and Collection Due Process cases. She also received a Tax Court Summary opinion related to unreported treasury savings bonds. Furthermore, Adriana was a contributing member as the IRS handling attorney for favorable opinions issued by the U.S. District Court of Northern California and the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in a case related to foreign bank account reporting (FBAR) requirements and penalties imposed. *Disclosure: Adriana does not evaluate or provide legal advice on tax-related matters to consumers or clients* 

Prior to founding Agave Law Firm, LLC, Adriana continued to expand her civil litigation experience after law school by handling civil matters for various colleagues in an Of Counsel capacity. Adriana has handled matters including, but not limited to: car accidents, slip and falls, trip and falls, premise liability, wrongful death, dog bites, bed-bug bites, semi-truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, bicyclist accidents, homeowner's insurance claims (including mold damage), breach of contract, civil theft, destruction of personal property, negligent security, divorce, child support modification, real estate, and foreclosure defense. 

Her role in these matters has consisted of handling all aspects of the case including the drafting of appeals should it be warranted. Her experience and accomplishments reflect Adriana has a:

Adriana’s legal roots have and will always lead her back to the civil practice realm of law. Adriana's main priority is to ensure that all clients are afforded the opportunity to legal counsel and an equal playing field.  She is dedicated and committed to applying her towards making legal expertise and guidance accessible to all clients , especially underrepresented populations.
